Do You Ever Remember Me?, 2023

I am Polish artist based in London, I work in photography and sound and installations. This work is a dialogue between my past and present selves. Through my work, I aim to explore how time alters our memories and emotions, shielding us from unpleasant experiences while depriving us of the beauty we once cherished.

My art is a reflection of the freedom and empowerment I feel when surrounded by nature, allowing me to reflect on myself and appreciate the small things that are often overshadowed by the fast-paced environment of modern life. Water, with her selectively cleansing properties in particular, serves as a powerful symbol of the fleeting nature of existence, reminding me that the most beautiful moments in life are often brief and transitory.

Through my work, I seek to capture the essence of these fleeting moments, preserving them and enabling others to share in the feelings and memories that they evoke. By doing so, I hope to create a connection between myself, my viewers, and the world that surrounds us all.

I am Polish artist based in London, I work with photography, sound, and installations. My work is very often biographical and heavily influenced by my interest in psychology, which informs my exploration of various themes such as mental health, migration, social and cultural issues, and the body.

Having experienced the transition from Poland to the UK firsthand, I find myself particularly fascinated by how our environment can impact our behavior. In my artistic practice, I often examine the ways in which individuals adapt to new surroundings, as well as the extent to which our surroundings can be shaped to accommodate our needs. For this I am documenting the diverse cultural landscape of London and my own close neighbourhood.

Psychology and relationship with my own body allows me to explore topics such as the perception of the body in different cultures, and how these factors can influence our emotional experiences. My work also reflects on my personal journey towards well-being, which has become a universal struggle amidst the ongoing global pandemic.
